The Earth Warriors Project was first initiated by Great Heart Charity Association, one of its sister NGOs, with a mission to nurture a cleaner and more sustainable environment. What began as humble, small-scale monthly cleanup activities across public parks and streets. These efforts brought together volunteers from all walks of life, united by the shared belief that caring for the environment is a collective responsibility.
Building upon this momentum, Earth Warriors Day (EWD) was introduced as an extension of the project — a mass cleanup campaign that mobilised thousands across Malaysia to take part in one of the largest environmental volunteer movements in the country. Then, in 2020, with the formal registration of Earth Warriors Association as an independent NGO, the organisation officially took over as the driving force behind Earth Warriors Day and other environmental efforts.
